on the path within

leaving the essence
to shine

I have dreamed about you
sitting beside me
at the fire
with all your ancestors, guides and spirit helpers
surrounding your being
it was a pitch dark night
the sky was full of stars
the flames reached high
in the distance you could hear the thunder of a storm
somewhere
raging
but here in the circle
it was silent
it was warm
it was as if the air was filled
with something sacred
a new birth
in the darkest of times
and when we sighed and peered into the flares
we understood

If only you could hear the wind whisper to me
stories of your existence
of the urgency to have you here in this time
of the gratitude because you did come
of all the riches you carry in your heart
how long you were awaited for
if only you could hear the wind whisper to me
shall I blow her to pieces or will she unravel herself in time?
can we still wait for the miracles we hunger for by her not thinking she can hand it to us?
does she understand she can heal us by her being totally herself?
why doesn’t she know she is a blessing to us all?
the wind whispered to me
can you tell her how we need her to love herself a little bit more every day
to trust herself a little bit more
we call for her
and her love
more than ever

to honor herself
like she honors us with her presence
